Brainstorming techniques for idea creation

My latest post answers a question posed by teachers and it affects everyone in drama teaching practice:

“How do I make sure, in group work, that one child is not doing the bulk of the
work in creation?”

I use a variety of techniques that guide the process for inclusivity.  I’ve posted these in my blog at OneStopDRAMAShop.com.
My go-to solution teaches brainstorming techniques. Brainstorming is a way to collect ideas without anyone on the team saying “no” to any idea. Modeling the practice improves success before the first time students apply it in groups or partners. I then make it a “rule” that the team cannot move on to the next step of the process until everyone has given an idea of some type to add to the group’s thinking.  Read more about this and my other strategies on my blog.
